History

Enterprise Care was originally set up in 2002 and has been registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection since 2003. Its permanent office base is in Downton, Wiltshire; however since its creation, the company has increased in size and has expanded its coverage from Salisbury and the surrounding Wiltshire areas to now also cover areas in Dorset and Hampshire.

Ian Roper created Enterprise Care with a clear vision of creating a high quality care agency for people who need support in their own home. Ian has a long history within the caring profession and extensive experience. After starting out in a nursing home learning the basics of care, taught by old school nurses, he gained a position within Homecare (known today as Wiltshire Homecare Service) as a care worker and quickly progressed up the ranks. Within eighteen months Ian was promoted to Locality Organiser/ Manager with responsibility for up to seventy clients and fifteen carers. During his time in this role, Ian gained full training enabling him to carry out Community Care Assessments, Health and Safety Risk Assessments and Financial Assessments for each client referred to Homecare by the social work department.
